Default problems with the H3

hey guys after seeing alrocks post on all the problems he had with his H3 i was wondering wat problems have u had with your hummer H3's with the miles on them and the year? who paid for them etc.

ill start...i have a 06 H3 with 58k miles and i have had no major issues execpt little one's. like squeaky leaf springs front end noise when turning the wheel (due to mud) and other little things...i have no rust because i am constantly cleaning the underbody after mudding and i am in so cal...but recently i saw one place where the paint came off and a little rust. I dont want it to spread so how can i stop that? ill take a picture of where its at and maybe i can get some advice...also approaching 60k miles and offroading a good amount can i expect anything to break down in the future?

thanks and id like to hear ur stories and problems also

I have an 06 with 55k + on it.

Leaky Sunroof (wo hasn't)
Constant noise from the wheels (inside of wheel coating is flaking and rubbing on the caliper)
BCM took a poop (or I should say the connector)
Squeaky rear leafs (replaced bushings and goo excuse to add shackle lift)
Crank Case Cover leak / water pump froze (my fault)
Rear axle seals (both went at the same time)
Misaligned door from factory
1 run in with a deer

Really most of these things come down to side effects from wheeling the truck, so nothing to complain about from me.

08' w/21,000 miles.

No real issues yet. Sometimes when its really freezing outside my passenger door won't close correctly, but thats it. I am very happy with the truck so far.

'06 I5 w/ 26,500mi.

*Factory paint flaw on passenger side between antenna and "air cleaner" cover
*Transfer case controller motor replaced @ 14K miles (warranty)
*Blown Engine @ 22K miles (warranty)
*Battery toast (warranty- found during engine rebuild by dealer)
*Center console latch broke @ 24K miles (haven't fixed yet)

Overall, I couldn't be happier with it. Luckily I haven't experienced anything else worth mentioning as far as fit/finish since those flaws tend to stay with the vehicle for its life.

I have a non-adv 06 with 73K miles, exploded right CV, transfer case 1x, front diff 2x, rear diff 1x, fan clutch, serpentine belt, runs super hot in the summer time....no help from dealer on this one whatsoever, both control arms, prop shaft and yolk, front diff mount, 2x14mm tie rods, the LED's of the AC switches, the radio and high mount brake light, sunroof drain tubes clogged. I know I forgot a bunch of stuff, some of this was covered under warrantybut not all. I have a modified suspension according to the inspector, since I added my bilsteins up front and 35" tires as of now my warranty is flagged and useless to me.

I also have an 06 black H3 with 63K miles and I don't think I have had any major problems either. had to have my fan replaced once for the ac but it was under warranty and was an easy fix. I have had a few deep scratches on my car but I used an auto paint filler that i picked up at pep boys that matched the color of my car, and that seems to be working really well. Thats is my only solution without going and having them try to buff it out or having that part of the car repainted which can expensive.

Overall I love my H3, wouldn't trade it for anything!!!

06 Black on Black on Black H3 :) 35k
Ive had my fair share of issues but most from wheelin... I try to go once a week :)-

Broke my seat adjuster (will have to replace under warranty when I get to it... luckily its in the perfect spot)
Broke the wheel knobs on both front seats (super crap design)
Broke the retainer clips for the rear tail lights new ones coming from Gene
Bent the piss outta the stocker running boards
Bulb out for heater selector knob

And killed the battery and alternator twice in a week so I kinda had Stan redo those for me ;) with alittle help from theBroken... *see my dual battery setup*

I blew apart my front end but that was wheelin and pretty much my fault so I dont want to list that 4k repair ;)-
