Of course the US EPA specifications didn't take into account the mileage the manual transmissions were able to achieve due to low production numbers. Luckily, your Canadian counterparts did...

Re: Technical Specifications For your H3T

Great list, I'm going to steal it for the H3 sticky section also.

Only thing I would change is the T-case fluid. What ever the owners manual recommends should be used for Warranty purposes. GM sould not make up their minds on this one from 06-10 they have suggested using 3 or 4 different kinds of fluid!

Sorry, I had to 1 up ya with the torque specs .............:p

Re: Technical Specifications For your H3T

This and the other threads some of you all have posted up are really great to have and a big thanks for posting these up early on this forum.

I had a couple of questions that maybe sugar or other smart moderators can consider posting up recommendations for:

    1. If we all wheel regularly & push sometimes on where we go on rocks or in mud or water, how often should we consider replacing the fluids in transmission, Tcase, front & rear axle?

    2. Is there a recommended inspection procedure for checking after a run on breakage & replacement?

Along with what has already been provided I think these would provide a complete set of information. Sorry if I am getting greedy for others basic field manual information.

Re: Technical Specifications For your H3T

I'd say that it really depends on how you wheel off-road. Typically if you are changing your diff fluids once a year and inspecting your transmission and t-case fluids at the same time you should be fine.

However if you are hitting the trails almost every weekend hard, you should probably consider changing your fluids more regularly. It is possible to get water into these components via the breather tubes and it will make quick work of your gears if it does.

As for checking for breakage, I usually check out the truck quickly when I am airing up after a run. The main thing I check for is fluid leaks and ensure the tie rods and steering components are all snug and undamaged. If something else is damaged it usually shakes out in the drive home, but at least it won't careen me off the road or into an oncoming car.

Re: Technical Specifications For your H3T

Here is a random tidbit of information that is kind of interesting about the H3T that sets is apart from an H3, the 5 cylinder models actually are equipped with the same power steering pump as the Alpha's.

Re: Technical Specifications For your H3T

While I am not quite sure on max depth (pretty darn deep) the rears are 6x8 and the fronts are 6 1/2".

This by no means should limit your speaker choices. When it comes time to replacing the factory Monsoon stuff we will be going with JL Audio M770-CCS (7.75" woofer with a 1" silk dome tweeter) in each door. Slight trimming will need to be done to the doors to fit and a custom mounting plate for the rear speakers will have to be made. A custom 0.40 cubic foot fiberglass enclosure with a single Alpine 10" SWR-T10 Type-R shallow mount will round out the sound. The 4 components and the sub will be powered by a REF5.1000 Soundstream amp I have in the attic (95 x 4 & 270 x 1 RMS Power @ 4Ω, 14.4V).
