    BADLANDS 6.23 & 6.24 Recap

Had a great time wheeling and camping at the Badlands in Attica, IN this past weekend 6.23 & 6.24.
CBphoto, Geno and I from CHO attended both days. 4speekfunk was there on 6.23. We wheeled with mostly H1s and 1 H2.

The Badlands offers some interesting terrain choices along with as much challenge as you wish to try and conquer.

I didn't get many photos being a newbie to the Badlands and not knowing when would be a good photo opportunity and most of the pix you can't even tell how difficult the obstacle was anyway.

Our Weekend Home, first time in a popup (rented a big one). Tent camping, Class A or Hotel room are the norm for me:

    Spacious interior

Whipple Hill is 150+ foot 67 degree climb (that's what they calculated it at). Scariest thing I have done in a while.
Photos don't do it justice. Peppermint brown star on the leather seat!

    big hill 5.jpg

So close to making it all the way up, but not quite. Sitting there pressed into the seat back holding the brake for dear life while a strap or cable gets to you is nerve racking.

H1 almost flipped on it's side. Again the angles don't show the real thing.

A lot of time was spent assisting this unprepared H2 owner.

Sandy, loose pebble hill climbs are abundant (4speedfunk to the left):

I hope Geno, CJ and CB will add some pix or video too.
I'm trying to get some pix from AlphaX too.

I was only a passenger but still had a great time. I took a lot more short videos than photos, but here are a few.

This one from AlphaX really shows how steep the incline was. Crazy steep!
