    Upper Control Arms

Ok guys, here's the dilemma. Looking at Rock Auto and I see they have the Moog R series arms listed as economy with MAS and Mevotech listed as daily driver. Any thoughts on these? They are not even listing the Delco's anymore.

Why yes, yes they do. One problem, left side only....so I still have the same question as before.

Anyone? No thoughts on the MAS or Mevotech's? Had heard Moog had been kinda lax on the quality control lately but Parts geek has those.

Have you tried AC Delco OEM through one of the online GM parts stores? I'd rather pay more to get some that will last 60-80,000 miles vs the others. Depends on how long you plan on keeping the H3 I guess.

Don't disagree with that statement one bit however I question the plastic bushing in the joint that many OEM's use these days. I checked out Mevo's website today and they claim their joints have sintered metal bushings. A major point (coming from a machinist) would be, Do they have grease channels and grease fittings for keeping them lubed...sent them an e-mail with these questions anad am waiting to hear back.
On the OEM supplier point I found prices ranging from 187.00 to 325.00 ish. Kind of odd though that newGMparts had one side for 187.00 and the other side was the 325.00, talk about a Hummer premium!

    Re: Upper Control Arms

Well at least Mevotech responded to my questions and gave me at least a partial answer. I responded by letting them know that I'd be sure to share the info so here we go..."The upper arms for your unit, the bearing material is of a Teflon design and is sealed for life. Adding a grease fitting is not recommended in this design."KEN HAU - TECHNICAL ADVISOR

We went with Moog for the lady friends H3 and she drives like a whole lot lol! She seems to be happy so far with them. They seemed ok.

    Re: Upper Control Arms

Would be nice if a manufacturer would make them with a sintered bronze sleeve with grease channels on the ball stud and a zerk in the pressed in cap. We know there is room for the zerk as some of us out here have done the mod in hopes of adding service life to the OEM's.
