Toyo Open Country AT II Xtreme

Does anyone have any experience with these tires. Looks like a pretty aggressive A/T and very reasonably priced.

There is also a lot more void between the tread lugs

Not a big fan of any AT tires except Duratrac's.
My next tires will be MT's.

My ATZ'z have been great both on/off trail. I love them. Those Toyo's look real nice. I wonder how they wear?

My mastercrafts ATs have done well. No complaints.

Also the Eldorado ATs I had on the H3 served me great too.

I can't justify an MT on a vehicle that sees highway more than the mud. Even if it was 50/50, I still couldn't justify the loss of gas mileage and the ride quality, unless I lived somewhere that was only accessible by an old goat path or something.

    Look like rice to me.

Some good ole' American tires out there made AND owned by American companies. Might want to look at Cooper tires ST MAXX and STs to start with. Mickey Thompson ATZs are also a great all around tire except in the ugly mud, same with the Dick Cepek Fun Country IIs.

I looked at Cooper St Maxx but they are way heavy. Went with Kelly TSR instead by Goodyear

Almost 72lbs accordinging to there site, that's a really heavy AT. For example my Iroks are 67lbs, an MTZ is also 67lbs and a KM2 is 64lbs. Toyo does make great tires and have always had great wear and thread life but have always been heavy.

try pro comp extreme ATs they weigh about 55lbs, and look good too.

you must be getting a real good deal because the cheapest I have found them has been $288 a tire, and I can get the procomps for $270 a tire

72 lbs, those are some heavy 315s. Our 37" IroKs are 74 lbs and they are 10 ply tread and 3 ply sides.

Shipping on a set from 4 Wheel Parts is $49.95, which would be less then sales tax if you went to the store and got them anyways.

Sorry to say that I would pit falken and Yokahama drag slicks against Hoosier and Mickey Thompson any day. And still put down great numbers.
