My advice would be to get one with as low of miles as you can...08's & 09's get the new interior & 6.2 liter engine...but they seem to sell for a lot more...Good Luck in your search!

That new interior is to 'Range Rover' for me...the 6.2L is a plus and the 6 speed tranny...
...but that interior, not my cup of tea. Higher quality material, but I felt like I was in a 'car.'

I'd prolly steer clear of '03s and '04s...just because they were the first model years and I always like to give manufactures a year or two to work out the little kinks. I've heard stories of the front diff case cracking under stress on the 03s; I guess this got replaced around 04-05 with a more reinforced case. 03s and 04s don't have the 'express down' feature for the windows (small thing), and 05s and earlier came with the side mirrors that like to stop folding closed after the little motors rust up. That's the short list of what comes to mind.

    05s, 6s and 7s are my favorites I guess...lol.

I agree tht the Range Rover has a Great Interior..BUT..What happens when you take that rig off road into the mud and rain? Not only will you be spending hours cleaning the out side and undernieth of your RR ..but you will go nuts trying to clean all that leather and wood trim.

The H2 was made interior wise with mud and water in mind. Hence the plastic interior trim. Mine cleams up real easy with a Damp towel. It was designed as an off road rig.

To me the RR is a Flat Lander Off Road Rig. I'd love to see one go thru the Mud Bog at RC.

Re: How many H2's on CHO.."H2's check in with your favorite picture of your truck!

I totally know what y'all mean. I used to have an 03 LR SII (modded of course). Gas prices were creeping near the $5 a gallon mark so I decided to get something else. They done changed it up to more of a mall-crawler so I bought a Tacoma (modded that of course) and then was presented with an offer I couldn't refuse. And because of that I'm finally part of the Hummer fam.

Fast forward almost 2yrs and more mod's later, between my son (who's 13 and has a size 15 foot-OMG) and my dog (150lbs+), they have both out grown my 3 so I need to move up. Came across an 05, supercharged 2 with 40K miles on it. Totally not diggin the ghetto style 24" wheels but that's okay cuz I'd swap them out for 17" or 18" wheels w/37" - 40" muds anyways.

You could get a lot of money out of those thug wheels.

Probably close to pay for a lift. At least the parts.

Reading those last few comments it is unfortunate to see a 2 all ghetto'ed out. I've seen ONE modded H2 since I've owned mine and they were out of state. All of them here are either rolling billboards or bone stock.

However the one mod I do see often is giant wheels with rubberband tires on these things. Sickens my stomach each and every time!

That too, I can't believe all the companies who think that crap is nice let alone those who buy it lol. I mean don't get me wrong chrome tastefully done looks great as an accent. However I've seen H2's with every piece of ebay chrome imaginable!

I've actually resorted to looking at the chrome stuff and thinking how it would look PC'ed black-opens up more opportunities for mods.

I'm damn close to trying to body lift mine.

3" blocks and some bolts are pretty cheap.

I just wish I knew what other little things needed fixed, mechanically. The cosmetic stuff I'm not worried about.

If all it takes is 12 bolts and 12 pucks, that would be fantastic but it's never that easy.

Oh I know, when I first saw the listing was like alright now we are getting somewhere. Then I saw the pics and was like ...the Hummer side of the brain immediately kicked in "...quickly sell those wheels/tires and get real ones with so good mud tires..." Then all was well again...

I dunno man I'd be afraid I'd those new fog lights up. They are awfully low.

I love the cowel lights but they are damn expensive. I thought about buying just the covers and adding my own lights but the price is still insanely high just for the covers but we'll see.

Cell phone camera doesn't like all the brightness. It's some sort of reflection of the roof lights, there's another of the LED DRL's towards the top.

It's mounted as high as it can go on the skid plate. I've seen some mounted lower but I shared your concerns and went as high as I could. The wiring harness at the bar does have a quick disconnect so I guess worst case scenario take out the 4 bolts, pop the harness and pull the bar off.

oh I meant the covers that go with the lights. I spoke with Dave and he said he'd sell me the covers without the PIAA's thinking I'd save a ton of money but it really wasn't. Meaning I would have to spend the insane amount of money for the whole package.

However I did think about trying to make my own with some stock covers, hacking them up and doing some fiberglass (which I've never done) but that seems like a lot of work lol.

It actually wouldn't be that difficult...

Go to advance and grab some glass cloth and some resin.

Get your light, mount it, and wrap it with tin foil.

Layer your resin and cloth over it.

When it hardens, pop the whole thing off.

Remove all the tin foil and light.

JB weld or resin the top to the cover.

    Sand paint and remount.
