I have a 68 2wd that I am fixing to start on. It is not in bad shape, has a little bit of rust...and I am going to relocate that damn gas tank. 351, 3spd auto, dont really know what gears it has in the rear, I know Red will only go about 65-70 before she hits about 5 grand.

    Nice BDMT

Pushing the Dana 44 with 38.5s if you are going to mud it.

Sounds similar to mine bigger tires helped. Your gear code should be on the cover bolts if no one removed it

I was told that before. However full out mud trucks run 44s with the same average size of tires pushing a lot more power than I am. If it breaks I have a High pinion 44 laying here with disc brakes just to lazy to install it. Looking for a ford(drivers side diff) Dana 60 but everyone want an arm and a leg

Gotta love the old iron! Climb under the hood, close it and still have room to work. That and the simplicity was beautiful considering the power made and non of the computer related problems that can be a pita to diagnose these days. Drive on Brother!
