NO! I just put a brand new tire on there. It has 100 miles on it and I'm not paying another $200+ for a new one. It would be fun though.

Probably, the stock exhaust on the bikes is quiet. Almost too quiet... but that's another way they can make more money. Offer louder pipes! Now most everything they produce is made in Taiwan, but the prices are going up!!!

I'm getting my cycle license this weekend. I had classroom last night and i got a 100% on the written exam. Now comes the riding portion and I know I will be fine. I have rode my bike and I feel really comfortable on it. The bikes they provide for the course are like a 100cc mini bike... PERFECT!

    Re: My Summer Toy

Here is an updated picture of my bike. I have done some things to it since the last pictures.

I bought 2 LED accent light kits, one for me and the other for my father for Father's day even though I still had time. I bought them together so he could have fun with them now and to see if they worked. They are really bright and worth the money. They are solid color white (Not multi-colored) with a few different lighting modes. A) Lights on steady with different levels of brightness. (Brightest level shown above). B) Three different patterns of strobe and C) which is a breathe feature. That one is my favorite one so far. It starts out dim and works it way brighter. Once it hits full bright, it slowly starts to dim and then repeats. All of which is controlled through a remote which attaches to your key chain. I made a phone video which completely sucks, but you get the idea.

    Re: My Summer Toy

Also snapped a few pictures of some of the other mods I have done. I did the stainless steel braided lines for the front end. Both throttle cables, brake lines and clutch cables were all replaced with braided. It matches the whole rest of the bike and they are perfect.

I also bought some chrome clips to fit the lines as well. They sure do know how to nail you for money! I bought three different clips for the cables which the one holding the throttle cables together was $35 alone. The two holding the brake line onto the tins were $20 a piece. But they sure beat the old clips which were black coated.

I also picked up some slash cut exhaust tips which were $100 brand new. I got them brand new for $40 from the dealer. Got to love clearance items even though they were new with nothing wrong.

Next came the LED project. Oh what a nightmare they turned out to be. I started out buying the LED brake light that Harley makes for $140. Everything was fine with it and it works great! Bright and noticeable like it should be. Then I bought the matching turn signals which was another $140. I put them on the bike and they too worked perfectly! My dad and I went out for a ride and they were bright as can be. Until the right one burnt out. Called the dealer and they replaced them. Cool! Not cool... because within the same time as the first one, the second set burnt out. Called and set three was put on. Today, they went out too. They looked at the whole bike and tested everything. Could not find any problem. All of the voltages were perfect, wires/ connections were perfect, even the circuit board was perfect! They had built in load equalizers and were a plug and play item. So now I am running Custom Dynamics LED inserts with a separate load equalizer. Let's see how long this one lasts... I have a good feeling that these are going to be problem free. They are even brighter than the Harley ones too. I ordered clear lenses for them too because the LED's themselves are colored.

Harley LED brake light along with the aftermarket LED turn signals. (I have the run/ brake/ turn relay installed also so they are on all the time) Safety first!

Damn Jesse, that bike is looking sweet. Full roll of paper towels needed now for the drool on my keyboard lol. Lines look great, expensive clips but worth it. In the middle of our second biker rally here this month. Wall to wall.

Thanks Hal! But you are correct. It is in fact a purple T. Stumpy gave it to my nephew last year. He won't put it in the garage because it is clean in there. He has to keep it in the rocks where he says it belongs. He is one smart kid!

Coolness! Was it always a police bike? Also, what size handle bars are those? My dad has a king and he wants to do 14" apes but doesn't know how it will look. He wants the comfort though.

All of your bikes are cool. That color on your sporty is among the best of the two-toned paint schemes that Harley came out with. I still want a pearl white fatboy for a street bike. I have always loved white on the fatboys for some reason. Not talking about the "Ice" paint either with the blue flake in it. One of these days... Thanks for the pictures.

Never say never! We shall take our steps together then. We will both be on a new journey into the other options of color.

I bought my bike for thousands cheaper than this one and it is 3 years newer.

I know it isn't a fatboy, but it is pretty close and definitely my styling. The rims on it for both cost as much as my front rim.

Go for cry. There are a lot less consequences with it. Look on the brighter side, once it's over, it's over. No more worrying and having to deal with the headache.

    Re: My Summer Toy

Okay, so I have to stop going to the dealer for things. I went there to pick up my clear turn signal lenses and to pay for all of the LED's they gave me. I returned the Harley turn signals after burning out 4 sets and I owed them about $80 difference. Then I just happened to look up on the shelf when I saw a box. And inside that box was a part. And that part ended up going home with me! Crazy how it worked out... So spending a lot more than I wanted to, that part found its way onto my bike. Then my phone managed to take a few pictures. So here it is!

It's a "Screamin Eagle" heavy breather intake system. K&N air filter on the end along with a chrome tube and backplate. Worth the money? I guess so. I won't have to buy any more filters for it which were about $40 a piece. It should pay for itself in no time at all. Plus it gave the bike a totally different look.

Here are pictures of the "Sock" that comes with it to keep water/ rain out of the filter.

I also took a few pictures of the lenses installed and also what they look like when they are on.

    ON (No Brake):

    ON (With Brake)

Not too much difference with the "ON" and "BRAKES ON" picture, but there is in person. I have a Run/ Brake? Turn module installed so the turn signals turn on and also act as brake lights. I want to be visible...

I was talking to one of the guys at Harley the other day, asking about their discount....

    WOW.... they do good.

I really liked the Night Rod. It was like I was riding your bike. It is quick, but too quiet for me. I couldn't even tell if it was running. The only thing I didn't like was the peg location. My legs were at a 90 degree bend.

I just got a letter in the mail for my holiday pay check. LED headlights, passing lights, and Halo trim rings are coming soon... I am one happy person right now!
